Description
The op.Linux Packaging System (opsystem) is a simple yet powerful command-line package management system capable of building, installing, uninstalling, verifying, querying, and upgrading .opp compatible software packages. Each software package (.opp) is self-contained and contains all the information necessary to be processed by opsystem.
One of the most powerful features of opsystem is the capability of maintaining both binary and source packages, thus making the building of binary packages (.bin.opp) from source ones (.src.opp) a one-step action. Yet another feature of the packaging system is the ability to upgrade either the whole system, a whole software category (with its subsequent categories as well, if chosen and available), or kust chosen packages from a number of categorie to the current or stable version.
